What is Rotary?

Beverly Rotary is a service organization made up of professional woman and men who share a common goal. That goal is "service above self.” This is the Rotary motto worldwide, and is the foundation of all we do. With over 100 members, we are the largest club in our district (7930).

Internationally, Rotary has many goals: peace and understanding among people is its major focus. The biggest project currently is eradicating Polio in the world. Rotary International, with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and its 1.2 million members is very close to realizing this goal.
Members in the Beverly Club are united in being accountable, upstanding people and in helping those who need it in the community. Through fund raisers, events and social networking, we raise money to distribute to various charities. We host international students and we provide scholarships to deserving students who are seeking a college degree.

In the past, the Beverly Rotary Club has been the lead or major donor for a new ERV for the Red Cross, a school bus for Beverly Children's Learning Center, the Beverly Bookmobile and a refrigerated food truck for Beverly Bootstraps. Recent focus has been on Veteran’s and children’s causes. In 2014, a covered waiting area for veterans waiting for a bus to Hanscom Airforce Base was erected at the Vittori Rocci Post. This past year we were a lead sponsor in the revitilization of Ellis Square with a buy a brick program as well as Touch to Talk a program offered by Northeast ARC, for verbelly impaired youth.

Fundraising events always have FUN in them.  Winner's Choice Raffle, The Annual Golf Tournament, Artsfest, concerts and excursions to the North Shore Music Theater are just some examples of the fundraising events the club holds.
The weekly meeting is the cornerstone of the Beverly Rotary club. It is in these meetings that club business is conducted, fellowship is encouraged, knowledge is enhanced through solid programs and collaborations occur.
